Optimism!

I saw this today and just love it! What a positive and simple little turtle 🙂

I went on a nice 7 mile run this evening and it felt GREAT, best part was no side aches!!!  I ran at an 8’50 pace and  it was just a very needed and lovely run.

When I got back I tried a new kind of gnocchi from Cost Plus and it was good but I like some of the other kinds better.

I used this pasta sauce which I love.  It’s really fresh so you have to keep it frozen until you’re ready to use it and it is seriously delicious.

Also I love the ingredients, fresh and yummy.

I saw a physical therapist about the side ache stuff and he thinks it’s the way I arch my back and it’s putting pressure and pulling on my stomach.  I’ve been trying really hard to straighten it while I run which feels really weird and uncomfortable but today I didn’t have a side ache so maybe he’s right and maybe it’s working!  I’ve also been doing some stretches with the foam roller that he recommended so hopefully we’re getting somewhere!

Anyone have a favorite gnocchi type or brand I have to try?

  1. I haven’t been able to find any good gnocchi since I moved to Spain.
I lobe sweet potato and casava gnocchi, tried to make them once, they turned out fine, but the mess in the kitchen isn’t worth it.

    • Sweet potato gnocchi sounds so good! I have never seen that and now I must because it sounds amazing. I can’t believe there isn’t good gnocchi in Spain! Sounds to me like a good excuse for a little trip over to Italy!

      • You gotta give it a try, it’s just matter of substituting the regular potatoes for sweet potatoes. Delicious.
They sell gnocchi in Spain, but they really tough or rubbery, I have yet to find a good one. I’ve found a place where they sell fresh pasta, but they don’t sell gnocchi.
